Our five step moving process.
Our moving process is simple and straight forward. Our guys are professional and to the point. Every crew is led by an actual owner(s) of the company to ensure maximum efficiency, safety, and care for you and your belongings.
The most important thing you need to do is pack EVERYTHING. We offer full packing services though packing yourself can save a lot of time if done right. The biggest mistake in packing is using a high number of small containers. This just increases the number of trips from truck to house. Do not overload boxes! Make sure all boxes are clearly labeled by room, not content. Do not leave any containers open and make certain the top and bottom of all boxes are securely sealed. Handling poorly packed containers can add small amounts of time which can add up to become a timely mistake.
tip: Disassembling beds, cribs, and items that can not fit through doorways will save time on your move.
Immediately after a brief introduction you will be asked to take the movers on a walk-through of the house. This is not time consuming and its purpose is to determine what contents of the house go and what stays. It also helps the crew determine a safe and efficient loading order. Be sure to mention all other locations containing items to be moved. Next, the movers will properly protect any vulnerable household surfaces with pads and floor protection. All items will be properly cared for and padded in the truck. Full in-house preparation is available upon request. For the rest of the duration of the load, see step 1. When the house is clear of all items specified to be moved; another walk-through should be made. This time to make sure there is nothing left behind.
Upon arrival at the destination, you will take the crew on yet another walk-through. The purpose now is to name each room and give a general furniture layout so that the movers can most accurately place your belongings. The main objective is to get your belongings to their proper locations. To ensure the best placement results, stay readily available. We recommend you stay by the door or truck so that you may direct mover traffic. Not sure about where to put your furniture? Our experienced eyes would be happy to make some suggestions!
We will once again take all necessary precautions to protect household surfaces such as floors, rails, walls, etc.
This time the purpose is to make certain that everything is where it needs to be. Usually two or more men will assist you room by room to ensure your satisfaction. Once satisfied, your bill will be processed.
